It looks like I have a valve cover leak in addition to my carb problems. Has anyone replaced the valve cover gasket, and if so how hard is it? It doesn't look all that complicated.
Thanks!

it is not that complicated. Make sure you don't overtighten when you put it back.
Alex.
If you get a new one and it still leaks then get this gasket sealer (local parts store) I got mine at napa. Just put it on like caulk between the gasket and the metal of the head.
take the three nuts off the valve cover. pull up on the pass. side and slide it to the pass. side so it pops out of the upper timing cover. then remove the gasket and put the new one on. installing it is just the opposite. don't overtighten the valve cover bolts! they will strip out the threads easy since they are aluminum! Definitely use silicone. It makes you not have to replace the gasket as often and it seals way better.

Great! It didn't look too hard, but I wanted to check it out first. Thanks!
