u can probley go to a 19 inch but no bigger with lots of rubbing. still with 18s u can get a bit of rubbing but a nice look. im going to put either 16 or 17 inch rims on my 3gee. i like Team Loco the best, but also nippon, enkei, konig. those are my first choices. i like rims with lots of spokes. not wire ones but just a lot of spokes.

    I'd do 17's or 18's at most. But I'd stick with 17's

Just make sure you don't go lower than 45mm offset on 18's or 19's where 215mm tire widths are the rule. I've heard of guys running 225's on the 5th gens, but I dunno that's pushing it in my book. Try these sites in your search, just keep in mind that allot of the sites do not tell you the offsets of the rims your looking at, so you may find your heart getting set on a rim only to find you can't run it cause the offset is less than 45mm.

i have no taste in rims so anyone with ideas of what particular rims would look good on my car.
one of my 88 lx's is up for parts. good engine and transmission. pretty much everything is there. the fenders and hood are bad but other than that it's pretty good.

black on black would look kinda funny so the Konig Glide..do they make it in silver??? I know they are pretty cool and you can buy them in a package deal from discounttiredirect for like $799 and I thin that is for 17's. I would go with konig but maybe not the glide

i really like the look of a 5 spoke with the spokes being of a decent width like the rims i have now. they look good on the car but are a little small and really beat up. im just going to paint them black and throw them on the 3 gee. i like simple rims with smooth lines. nothing too angular or anything like that. today at walmart i saw a purple mazda something or other with some awsome rims on it. i think i saw a 3 gee somewhere on this board with them.

buzz. seeing that car like that makes me sad. but i am enjoying my tail lights. and that dreadfully dirty shift boot looks good with a billet aluminum shift knob.

change the color to black and put on the mille miglia spider wheels. i like those a lot.

my 16's with the tires are 24 inches roughly (two of my feet which is almost a foot) and there is about a 1/4 inch gap between that and the fender. how tall is a 17 with a low profile tire?

i realy gotta tell ya the truth. 19s would look cool on a 3gee lowered. but realy their not practical. they cost lots of money, tires get expensive, and u have many problems makeing them daily drivers. rubbing, curbs and other stuff. personally i dont wanna go over 17s. but realy i think 16s will look good on mine. although im not gonna complain about my 13s. they are baby rimz but their lite and the tires dont cost much. i do want bigger though.

i got a 5 g. with 16's already mounted. just looking for something a little less beat up. im pretty sure 17's are what im going to get. now it's all just a matter of finding ones i like. then i have to save about 2 years worth of pay to buy them.
