    Should I get it?

At the place where I get most of my audio equipment, Stereo King, they have a 240w Jensen CD/MP3 receiver on sale for $167. It has the options I am looking for, but I thought I'd run it past all of ya and see if you thought it is a good buy. I'm lookin to get it probably either today or tomorrow, just curious what everyone else thinks.

Thanks in advance for any and all info

    I'd definently go with DXHATCHBACK's suggestion. I'd take a low-end Blaupunkt over a high-end Jensen any day

Blaupunkt is really nice. I have a 220 watt RPD 555, and it is really nice. Try the sony explode series decks. Just remember you get what you pay for.

Yeah im not a huge blaupunkt or sony fan but theyre a hella lot better than a jensen. My friend had one and 8 mos later he took it out (physically ripped it out of his dash) and threw it out his car window when he was driving... it never worked right and it pissed him off bigtime. Hes much happier with the blaupunkt and it think its much better sounding too. I like alpines and pioneers, both sound great and are built solid too

pass on it... go for something with a better name.. blau, pioneer, kenwood, alpine, or even sony

blaus seem to be pretty good for the money
pioneer, alpine, and kenwood cost a bit more, but you may get more depending on what you seek...
sony is alright, but don't expect a whole lot out of it

do yourself a favor and get a nice head unit. make sure to get one with preamp outputs if you plan on adding subs or an amp later. i suggest pioneer premier, or eclipse for a nice unit and they play mp3s as well

oh yeah i forgot about jensens. i had a jensen in my blazer before i had my accord and that bitch would skip if i hit the dash.

anyway right now i have a Blaupunkt deck in my accord and its not bad. i only paid like $150 for it so i couldnt expect much. its one of the older models though. anyway it never skips and its got alot of options. Blaupunkt decks are pretty bad ass for their price.

and yes sony decks suck ass.

I paid $103 for my Pioneer DEHP-33 and that mofo never skips unless the cds are very very dirty, even with the bass up as loud as you can get it.

Well... good luck with the Blau when you get it...

Two of my friends have them and one works ok and the other has some problems that can be really quite annoying. I personally don't like the cheap plastic feel of all the buttons.

some of my friends blaus were tempermental but not overwhelmingly so. Clarion pros, eclipse and nak are great brands, a little more expensive and geared to the sound Q crowd. Pioneer and Alpine are my all around picks
