    Spoon wheels

I'm thinkin about gettin a set of spoon wheels; 15". Has anyone used them on there car, or does anyone have any pictures of their car with them. I have 18's right now and I want an extra set of rims for racing and winter time. I know they are light, I'm just worried about how they would look.

They probably won't be real spoon wheels, most likely look alikes, since real spoonies would be spendy, I can get a set with tires for $650, brand new, in the right bolt pattern.

Well, why don't you just put NOS stickers on your car then? I just can't stand it when people get look alike things or mislabel their car. If you get them please dont put spoon stickers on your car.

I think he just wanted the spoon style rim, since they're obviously hideously expensive. Rota's are much, much cheaper. I too am looking at getting a set of steel grey 15" slipstreams this summer. Just trying to nail down a good deal right now. Slipstreams weigh about 12-13 lbs which is really sweet.

Well ya'll mike just volunteered to write you a check for the differance in price between spoon rims and rota's, right on dude

Get your mind off the fact that the rota slip streams are a copy of the spoon rims. No, what you shouldn't stand for is the outragous price that spoon wants. Spare me any argument that their worth the price. Theirs no reason to spend that kind of money when the rota's are perfectly good instead. Only thing I see is on other board with guys that have newer cars, some of them snub the rota's as ghetto, but they say the same thing about konig's. Whatever, simply not a place where spending more on something different is justified.

From what I read I understood that he was getting them just b/c they can pass off as spoons. And I thought he was going to label them spoons also. And I don't open my pocket book for anyone else but my g/f and I . I apologize if I came off like an ass but I was doing it mainly b/c I don't want you getting made fun of if you put spoon stickers on your car. i don't want anyone on here to be like the civic morons in this town. That's all I have to say.

I do have spoon stickers on my car, but thats because I have real spoon products. I know they are knock offs, and wound't say I has spoon rims if I didn't. I found some rota's for $350, but thats without tires.

Ignore everyone and pay attention to me lol. First of all, don't get the real Spoon rims, unless you can justify spending over $2000 on a set of rims. That and just IMAGINE what would happen if you came out one day and saw a SCRATCH on those $2000 rims. Not too happy eh? I wouldnt be either.

I have the Rota SlipStream 15inchers, the Spoon look-alikes. Rota is a damn good brand, and so long as you dont go hitting curbs, they'll last. I've had mine since last June, and they are still perfect to this day. Paint doesnt chip off easily, rims havent bent, I mean they look like they are brand new if I cleaned them. And trust me, they are SOOOOOOOOOO easy to clean. My friend would spend almost an hour cleaning his rims out; it took me 5 minutes on those Black rims. Black is such an easy color to clean.

I have hit potholes, the rims have lasted. Even though they are cheap, and weigh like 1 lb more than the real Spoon rims, they are not of cheap quality, just cheap price. I got mine for $500 from a friend (brand new), and if I ever had to replace all 4 rims (freak accident happened) I would get the Rota's again. I've had 2 people offer to buy them from me WHILE I was driving lol. There is no difference between these and the real Spoon rims, unless you put the center caps on, but I left mine off.

Go for them man. I dont have pictures, but my Accord is Misty Beige with the Rota's and it looks fucking sweet. People always compliment me on those rims. I love em to death. Good luck.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna do a few more things before I get a second set of rims. I'm gonna upgrade my brakes a do some finish work.

If any one wants they can buy my 18''s, or I'll trade them for a perfect set of rotas, with perfect tires, and some cash on your part, because I'm not tradin over $1400 in rims and tires for a $600 package.

The rims are about $450 from any site online. The average tire price for my profile (195/50-15) are about $50 per tire. So figure $650 at the least.
