    Question Tachometer Mod?

I got this small tachometer at the junkyard the other day, i tested it and it works and i was wondering if i can somehow have the tach move to the beat of my music kinda like those strobes that flash with the music, does this sound like it can be done? any info would be greatly appreciated

No you can't. Plus why, hook the tach up so it functions like it should, the lights and things that beat to the music are so stupid.

lol theres no way i would put a big a$$ apc banner on , and the reason i wanted to do this is i made a gauge cluster with a voltmeter and temp to fit in the console where the cassette holder is, theres a extra hole and its right under my cd deck and thought it would be cool, so u saying theres no way, i've seen home stereos that have them just dont know how to wire it up

In that stereo that is a volt meter not a real Tach... BIG difference there... you can PIC up a cheap volt meter at Radio shack and install that if you like in the gauge cluster.. or why not buy an AIR/FUEL ratio gauge and put that in the extra space.. AT least that is functional and will tell you something about your cars performance....

there are a million gauges you can get to fill that hole. i'd like an air fuel ratio gauge.

how many volts come from the coil to the tach signal line??? if its 12V or so... cant you just wire it to the POS speaker line on a amp??

every time the sub hits, it will shoot the tach around??
