Hey Mike don't forget about ME! and what are u guys gonna do about the tranny and the ecu?
Let me ask u a dumb question with that motor is it worth getting the cam grinded? or will any b series cams work? Better to get them done before u put the motor in right?

I must know what you plan to do with that b21. Does the crank swap in for a stroked b20? Does it have a better head that swaps to the b20? Don't leave us hanging.

i was just j/k about that one The B21 is a straight rebuild for a customers daily driver.

The B21 has a larger bore giving it the displacement advantage. The crankshafts in the B20 and B21 are identical. The cams in both look the same buy the lobes on the B20 look more aggressive.

I just took a quick peek in my chiltons to see what little specs they have on the motor. It doesn't have the specs for the jmd b20a, but the lift for the b20a3 from the gen3 lude, the b21a1, and since its listed also the b20a5, all have about the same lift. The b21a1 has .01" more lift on the exhaust, but other then that they are the same. The A3 and the A5 are listed for 100 and 135hp respectivly, so I would have to assume that the B20A would have some hotter cams to make the power it does. This has no revelance but I also noticed that the gen3 lude with the B20A3 had dual side drafts on it, I thought all gen3 ludes were efi, I've never run into a carbed one. Any one know anything about that motor. I'll assume that they are kehin copy cv carbs, similar to the ones on the gen2 lude. The B20A manifolds do bolt right on to an A20A don' they? Might be something that some one might want to look into. I believe the cv's use a rubber hose mount so most bike carbs will swap on where they were. I dunno if it will be much of a gain though, the B20A3 with the dual carbs makes 100hp, the same as the A18A1 from the gen2 prelude.

It is also SOHC and not DOHC

The carbec B20A3 from the gen3 lude is really SOHC, I'm not kidding.
