Car Jerks When 2.5G left in tank?

Okay -- Everyone always says stuff about this fuel light.. never seen it...

Anyways -- My car starts like stuttering at about 330-40miles like there isnt enuff gas to fit into the engine -- Is that just a bad fuel filter possibley and it cant keep pressure up or what?

I fill my tank up (LX-i) and it says like 12.5gallons put in... and I know I have 3 gallons left.... wtf?

I have the same Problem!!!! Had it for a while. I have a new fuel filter sitting in my room waiting to go in. Maybe that'll fix it.

That could also be caused by a bad gasket on the gas cap

remember that stock fuel gauges are usually very inaccurate. they are just to give you an idea of what's in your tank. i wouldn't take the reading of that gauge to heart.

The gas tank could be dirty and you are picking up debris from the bottom of your tank.

I've got great mileage!! I just pulled 462 miles on one tank before the light came on! I was thinking that the fuel pump might be weak, too, but i'm going to try replacing the filters before throwing down for the pump.

if you scooped up shit from the tank the problem would persist because it would clog your filters. It's probaly as simple as the fuel pump wasn't properly dropped into the baffle

when i took my tank down and looked inside it, man it was spotfree. NO rust no debree, the filter screen on the fuel pump feeder was clean too. I was just lucky i guess. even the tank from juan, was in perfect condition.
