This is the rally that I went on with my dad a few years back with the pacific nw Mr2 owners' club http://www.mr2.com/pacnw/events/astoria.html. I was thinking something like that the plan they followed would be sweet.

Maybe... We should meet in Portland, or in Vancouver though. A rally would be fun to do, but people have to show up, we can't have like 8 people say wyeah I'll be there, and then only have three actually show.

i don't know what meet to go to, the nor cal meet is june 14th and this meet is going to be june 21st I don't think I could go to both of them. I might just go to this one.

We gotta get on the list of people who are coming, though. I don't want a bunch of people to just cop out...that's bs. We can make this the best meet ever, as long as people actually show up!! I'm pretty sure chris and amber (boba and lxi-girl) will come. Might be good to ask though. There's probably a bunch of northwesterners who haven't even read this thread. I opt to creat an official sign-in when the date starts nearing...say 3-4 weeks beforehand. That'll help us do some planning.

june 21st would be awesome because the 20th is chris and my last day of school for the term. i don't know what work schedules will be for then, but i can always try to request the day off....so for now i am in...

I'm Soo mad now! I loooove going on runs. I took the road from Corvallis to Newport plus one from Beaverton to Seaside then up to Astoria and back across to Porland. It's alot of fun! sheesh I wish I could get my accord before then. I highly doubt it would happen but.. Ya'll, You know I'd Smoke all ya guys..

Hey I would love to do it but I'm not sure if work will let be go. But Astoria soods good and I have a sister that lives there so I could spend some time.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.
Does Astoria have a beach beach, or is it all rocks, cuz its right on the entrance to the river...
I'm really lookin formward to this, and hopefully I've have my new rims by then, assuming someone buys mine first...

I'm not sure about the extent of Astoria's beach, that's why I said Seaside. It's just as easy to get to. But hey, why would anyone listen to me? :P Hope to see the new rims, Chris
Ok...here's a schedule I just threw together, doesn't have to be the final plan, just an idea for what should go down.
1. Meet somewhere off of I-5 (tigard, wilsonville..probably somewhere farther north).
2. Head from starting point to Longview via Hwy. 30 and then crossing the columbia.
3. From Longview we head west on Hwy. 4 along the gorge until we hit Hwy. 401.
4. Take Hwy. 401 to 101 and then head south into Astoria.
5. (Late) Lunch in Astoria plus pictures/milling around, etc (OR head to Seaside).
6. From there, the people from WA and portland area can take Hwy 30 back and the people from farther south can head down 101 along the coast OR we could all roll back on hwy 30 and then go our own ways.
This by no means has to be the final schedule, but this one provides a pretty solid day of driving/hanging out/ pic oppurtunities.
