    Angry Idle Fluctuates -need Help?

    IDLE IS BAD ,UP DOWN UP DOWN,STAYS BETWEEN 1400 AND 1600 RPM'S . COULD SOMBODY HELP THE LITTLE CAR THAT COULD. THANKS ALSO IT IS CARBED IF IT HELPS.

    most likely it's a vacuum leak, sounds like maybe the idle control thingamajig (I forgot what the piece is called, it is connected to the same bracket as the accelerator pedal cable by a rod that goes to a dashpot with 1 vacuum line. Take off the hose and see if there's vacuum there.
    Vacuum leaks are most easily found by using carb cleaner spray. When you spray it near a vacuum leak the motor will suck it up and you'll hear the RPMs go up momentarily.
