So long as it's a name-brand, and fairly decently priced (above $2.50) then it should be good. The generic oils like ones gas stations make for $1.00 are not good oils, and they are weird colors. I got some 5W from Shell once, and the oil looked literally like antifreeze, and when it touched a surface it turned neon blue. It was cool looking, but later after driving, my tranny was REALLY soggy, and it took this oil like 15 minutes of driving just to feel NORMAL, so I immediately replaced it with just Castrol, and it's much better now...

wait, did you mix a little bit in with your regular oil? or did you put 4 quarts of strait MMO in the engine? MMO IS NOT ENGINE OIL! it's a additive, it must be added into regular engine oil. If you are running strait MMO you must drain it and put regular engine oil in the engine.

That's the stuff my dad used to call "top oil." It's kind of like reverse STP. It is supposed to clean up the top end of the engine (valve stems, rockers, etc.). Whether or not it works, I don't know, never used it. I doubt it will do any damage as long as you don't exceed the ratio printed on the can.

i used 3 quarts of valvoline maxlife and one quart MMO..or less than that of the valvoline...i misplaced my manula and forgot how much to put it..is it 3 3/4 quarts or what i forget...i just added and checked
i think i should go check again...im sure changing the plugs did most of the improvement but i have no complaints yet..runs 100% better than it did and it ran well to begin with

Synthetic is good for any engine as long as it's in good shape (like not burning/leaking alot of oil to begin with). I've used synthetic in my 315k mile motor for the last 55k miles and I'm still perfectly satisfied with it.... little-no leaks, no burning, and my engine is happy.

I put MMO in my gas tank every once in a while, usually after I fill it up. I use an old baby food jar and pour in one of those.
