    Arrow I need install help!....

I just got my 3 10" Ma audio subs in a sealed box all wired up, and I am getting an MTX 8100D amp to power them. The amp will be running at 850watts at 4ohms... will I need a power cap for this or what? I dont want to have dimming lights and shit likeother people I know with systems.

8100DS are current hogs, dont expect your current alternator to last very long with it. Youll need 1-2 farads and probably a rewound alternator

well that 8100d is a current hog, more so i belive than my 1200d. Its an excellent amp, puts out great power but it still needs alot of power to put out that kind of power. Ive never seen anybody with any vehicle last more than 2 months and stock alternator, the alternators burn up bad. The cap will help things but i wouldnt expect it to fix everything with the amount of current you are pulling. Sooner or later youll need a rewound.
