I was walking in walmart on my 15min brake the other day when I saw a hard-aluminum metal tube.
It's SORT OF like the vacuum hoses you use on the exhaust of a drier, but its harder, it doesnt rip near as easy, and it keeps its shape... It's some sort of flex hose.
It's sort of like this:
I think it is a little tougher though...
I was thinking about puting that over my TB with a rubber clamp, locking it down, and running it (since it flexes) all the way to the ground... I'm also prolly going to use heat wrap from JC Whitney made for engine bays.
I think this will work as a great LIGHT weight, very cold with the heat wrap intake, especially since the air it will be sucking will be cold from the ground.
As well, this will be easy to run, and won't damage the brake lines.
I'll take my digicam to work tonight to get some pics.
I've also heard of people useing this tubing (bottom right) to make RAM air systems, I was thinking of using.
I'll most likely try this next week since I'll be on brake.
