    3000 rpm

my car goes slo until 3000 rpm in every gear when I shift. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? I just did a tune up my plugs and wires (Bosch Platinum 2 plugs and Bosch wires) I am getting rotor button and cap later.

Try checking your timing also do yourt air, fuel filter(s) and your PCV valve. You also may want to spray clean ther carb or throttle body.

it's the advance of teh ignition timing that makes it go faster after 3000 ! so you can't fix it on a stock car !

How long have you been driving it for? Was it faster before, because mine runs fine, and it's always slow till 3K and that might just be the powerband kicking in.

If it totally goes yes. i had replaced one a few months ago and when i put my headers on i forgot to rewire the O2 sensors together. the new one was caught in the fan alittle, but the wire must have been broken. the light didn't come on for some reason but my car ran like crap until i hit 3000 then it took off. i switched the sensors and it fixed that problem but made it made it run really erratic so i jsut replaced the sensor for a second time and it fixed it.

It is the power band. If you have ever rode a 2 stroke dirtbike you especially know what I'm talking about. My little brother has a older Yamaha dirt bike 2 stroke and if you are not ready for when you hit the power band you will eat crap. If you ever saw a hp and tq curve you can see it. The curve will be nice and smooth then all off sudden it is like you gave it a 60 shot of NOS and will spike. On our cars it isn't as a huge spike in power as it is on those 2 strokes dirt bikes but it is there.
