My AERODECK is sold.

Well that fatefull day has arrived. I went to look at a 1989 Mercedes 190E 2.0i auto today and pretty much decided that I wanted the car. It is very good condition (see the photo below) and has only done 80,000 miles.
This means I can at last take my dad out without having to borrow a car.
I know its a sad day (but also a happy one for me). I would have prefered the aerodeck to go to someone on 3geez but that just wasn't to be.
Anyway I pick my Mercedes up either later this week or early next week.

Ive not done too bad in the last few weeks as I bought the quantum as my fun car and now have got the merc that I have been looking for.

I still plan to visit 3geez from time to time as without the help from the 3geez members I think I may have sold my aerodeck a long time ago.

Wot r the specs on the Mercedes?

The specs on the Mercedes are:-

1997cc 4cylinder 122bhp

Max speed 121mph

0-60 9.9seconds

35mpg (average)

It has 4speed auto tranny, ABS, Cruise control, 4x electric windows, electric sunroof, central locking, centre armrest and headlamp wash wipe.

I would have kept the aerodeck too but my dad cant get in or out of it easily (too low) and always liked mercs so it was going to happen one day.
All I hope is that the merc is as reliable as my honda has been.
Plus I have the quantum for fun now anyway.

Yea there is lots of after market support for the 190 in the UK.
I wont be doing much to it anyway as it is my everyday driver and will be used for moving my dad etc.
I plan to change to clear indicators and repeaters on the fenders and maybe smoke the rear lamps and a nice set of wheels.
