    A/C compressor identification

I need to change my a/c compressor on my 86 LXi due to a bad clutch. The clutch pulley has grooves on it so I think it's a ND. But there is no where that I can read the exact model. I went and bought a reman 10PA15E compressor with clutch but I found that it looks different than the one on my car. The rectangle block for connecting hosts on the reman compressor seems to be bigger than the one on my car. Moreover, the reman compressor is a little longer. So, do I have a 10P15E instead?

    Thanks.

I have no idea what the numbers mean, but here's some pics that might help you identify your compressors. Sounds like your original might be a Keihin

    Keihin: (POS!)

    Nippondenso:

The brackets are also different, as well as the hoses

    Hope that helps

Thanks. The compressor on my car is exactly as the ND on your pics. The one from the reman company (4 seasons/factory air) is being refernced to ND model number 10PA15E which looks slightly different. I know our cars have 3 kinds of compressors, Keihin, ND 10P15E and ND 10PA15E. I also went to Autozone web site and they do list all three kinds of compressors. I wonder what options I have here with the wrong compressors? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated !

Yeah. I think I have read somewhere in a manual that there are two kinds of ND compressors that fit our cars. I just didn't really think that I have such a bad luck buying the wrong compressor. Actually, the reference for both ND compressors are all called for 86-89 Accord so there is no clear indication as to what model to get. I don't know what else I can do with it except to get another one. Thanks for the reply.
