best tires on 17s?

will i need to mod ne-thing if i throw the 17s on my stock 89 lxi? i'm still not exactly sure on what tire size i should get? I want all season because I live in OK where ne season is possible on ne day!! i need something that wont rub the fender wells thru bumps or turns.

Get the 205/40-17 tire size. And rims that are NOT LESS THAN 40mm offset (up to 45mm offset are just fine btw). You won't rub anywhere in the suspensions travel arc.

Dunlop A2's are nice, but I'm sure other mebers will give you some other great recommendations.

i know u recommend 16s but i can't find any on ebay. Where is a good place to look for some. ohh, and what tire size should i use for the 16s. OHH YEAH, I'M A NEWBIE!

Don't worry about being a NEWBIE, I'm pretty easy on eveyone, new or not (unless it's a seach thing )

In 16" go with 205/45-16 or if you can score rims that have a 45mm offset run 215/40-16 or 215/45-16.
