don;t you guys realize that this electric turbo shiz is one of the biggest scams of all time?? Those fans can be bought for $12 or something (if forget what their intended use is, but it is defenitly not made to turbo a car) and they do NOTHING for performance. Oh, wait, they do do something for performance... THEY DECREASE IT. There are a significant amount of cases where the fan blades hinder intake volume so much that the engine sucks the blades off the fan and into your motor.

Seriously now... thing about it. If this really worked, and gave decent gains for a decent price, WHY WOULDN'T ALL CARS COME WITH THEM?

Guys come on. This scam has been around for at least a year now.

EDIT: wait, I remember... it was a bilge pump or something.

do you plan on trying that mike? looks pricey and hard to make it work. plus you'd have to build a box to go around the carb.

You know I think Mike could be doing that as a secret project b/c he's doing a manifold for bike carbs so maybe he is doing that bolt on super charger kit. I hope we just didn't uncover a secret project though

Why not just put a turbo on the car?

Once you pay all that for teh E-Ram, how much farther are you (cost wise) from a 4-6psi setup on a turbo?

Then, when you add some better fuelling, you can go higher on the boost.

    WHy limit yourself?

Besides, you can get a nitrous kit for about the saem cost as an E-RAM, and you'll make more power.

All motor? me? NEVER!!!!!!!!!! I have nothing to prove, Nitrous has never let me down ever since i've had it since 98. I started with a 50 shot on the A20 then got the B16 and sprayed it. I then moved to 60 and 70 but decided to leave it back at 60 for safety reasons.
I am now upgrading to 80 shot wet "direct port" so we'll see how that treats me i can't wait for that extra power!

My buddy bought an E-Ram on his 95 vtec lude. There is no good place to mount the switch, it has to be ghetto rigged. It actually did seem to give a little power at WOT but otherwise it is restricting the air flow in the intake. Think about it, a huge fan stuck in your intake...when it is not on it is slowing down the air flow. His vtec doesnt seem to kick in as hard as it did now that the E-Ram is still in there but is not operational.

    LX-eye...what is your avitar from?

well...a turbo fan isnt bad...as long as its going fast enough to push air into the engine....

if its going to slow itll be as useful as one of those 'tornados'! haha

Like I said the fan blocks the intake when its not in use so if you dont mind having less power for everyday use. Also the switch sucks nuts, there is no good place to mount it. It does however seem to give some power under WOT but I don't think it's worth the money personally.

As far as my avatar its a secret...

what about a simple bypass valve? hmm it would have to go before the filter. I can rig it on the carb manifolds for sure though, probably with the existing parts.
