Are the pistons and rods new?
no - but in complete good shape.. oil changed all the time.. rings are not cracked
used, but cheap

Do you know how many miles are on them? And how much for them?
100,000 - I will have picks to show later tonight, I have to get new batteries for the digi camera

Ok I have no idea if those are in good shape (I lack the knowledge of internals) Can someone please tell me if those are in good condition? Or look like it. Are they supposed to be black? Does anyone think it's not worth swapping in lx-i pistons to get a high compression ratio? I was told for the work to install them it wouldn't be a big difference.
How much were you thinking about selling them for?
they will come clean.. I just don't have the time to scrub them with a brush to pull the oil residue off....
don't know anything about the compression difference
I was thinkin like $50 for all 4 w/ rods, and the other stuff is included
I know they go $65 a piece in some stores.. I just don't need them

I found stock lx-i pistons and rods for $100 new. I'll have to think and talk with friends before I buy them ok?
thats fine.. and I will accept resonable offers too

I wouldn't really have to think about it but I just realized what you have to do to install them. Take off head and oil pan and then replace them. I installed my camshaft from deltacams and I could handle that but I don't know about pistons. I'm interested in them for sure I just need to check out how much from shops and friends for installation. I wouldn't mind getting JE pistons but I don't have $500 for pistons right now.
ok
just let me know

I'll try and find out ASAP.
How much would shipping be to 56001?
ummm.... not sure, do you want everything or just the pistons?
the other stuff was free to go with...

I think I would take everything b/c I might need them to convert from LX stuff to LX-i stuff. (stuff = pistons and etc..)![]()
ok
I will get a weight n let you know soon, have to look up ups and see what it says..
should be cheap

did you take the pistons out yourself? Do you know how to install them? Someone should make a how to on pistons so I can do it![]()
Oh and for anyone that was wondering... I am making a how-to for a plexi-glass ram air box. I will have pics and everything once I get my docking port.
yea, I striped the moter myself... I will make a how to soon, with pics...

OMG you are so cool!!!! I'm just kinda worried about ripping everything down to the block and doing them. Hmm... I wonder can I port and polish my head and block? Or do I need a pro to do that? I'm doing a manifold for my weber but that won't take too much skill to do.
the shop is doing the block, but I am going to do the head..
this is what ups said for shipping - I did a copy and paste so you know

I would just go with the UPS ground if I were to buy them. What do you have to do, to port and polish the head and block? Do you just smooth everything out or do you grind out to a certain measurement? If so what is the measurement?
I think it is to a certain measurement, but not sure of what it is.. I have to ask my buddy, but then you just polish after the porting.. I know you have to use a dremel.. there is a how to on this on the board
