It's gonna be loud!! Gayishly LOUD.. Shit is gonna sound horrid.. All that power and little space.. Good Luck.. Sometimes I wonder why ppl put some much sound equipment into a car.. After a while the person does not even pump the system loud anymore..How does the car look? Nice I hope!

4, do two, sell the other two, not have to worry about saggin, and buy some other stuff with the extra cash, and not make it sound like shit, and not have a huge ass system that will weight like 200 pounds... do you really want people to hear your a mile away and with 4 12''s your gonna get stopped for a noise violation. 2 12''s is more then enought, so why 4???

Sounds like to much to me, but whatever, its your car after all, but if the $230 is for all 4 subs, then they suck are something is wrong with that, each of my 10's were $137 each and my amp was $500, and thats more then enought sterio for me but whatever floats your boat...

    the reference subs arent bad...
BUT 4 12's in a 3 G you gotta think about this..... They are probrably gonna be sealed... and box cant be that big for each b/c you got 4 subs.
I think you should have went with two NICE speakers, POWER, and ported them (Maybe a pair of W6)... and it would be just as loud and sound better than 4 OK subs sealed.
    just my 2 cents.
dont ask me whas in my trunk. Just know one thing...... when it rains I shake all the standing water off...............

I got real subs- Kicker CompVR's, and I didn't get jacked, thats the price you pay for real quality stuff, plus Kicker makes some if no the best subs on the market...

yea i agree, more subs isnt nessescerily better, either louder or sq wise but its what you want. Youre gonna need some sound deadning of some kind... I needed an alignment every 6-8 mos... the front wouldnt change but i think it was my rear toe and camber that would be way off. After you get it installed get it metered. I honestly think itd be louder with just 2 12s in a big well designed ported. Weight and size would be about the same anyways.

ok, EVERY speeker maker has there LOW end stuff, and there HIGHEND stuff. Like Infinity, Refrence to Perfect. Kicker. Kicker Comps-Kicker VR's I think. JL w0- w7 ( though they jumped around in numbers) Speekers are almost all the same in desighn just the Material that they use Efecency of the speeker, but a HIGHEND AMP with a semi good Speeker sound Awsome. IE phoenix GOLD ALWAYS had awosome AMPS, Rockford SHIT speekers, AWSOME amps. soo 4 12s ISNT going to sound like shit with my Phoenix Gold with Awsome BOX Desighn by my brother who has been doing it since he was 16 now 22.

Theres a Difrence is TRue 1000 Watts and shitty 1000 watts.

id have to disagree with that, if all the speakers were the same or similar in construction then a Cerwin Vega stroker would be the same as some infinity perfects, or my MTXs that i blew up would be the same as Adire audio brahmas... Build material varies widly, as does spider, cone and surround material. High end rockford speakers arent bad at all but their low end stuf sucks bigtime, and their amps are good, but not as good as they used to be. Box design has most impact on the way the system sounds, then subs, then amps. BTW i love PG

You're wrong on a few levels... I don't even think I want to get into it deep, because you seem like the type who'd argue, but I will anyway because I've got nothing better to do right now.

Speakers are NOT almost all the same design. Except for some companies, every model is very different from the previous ones. Ever head of T/S parameters? They vary greatly between models of subs and they are used to determine how the sub is going to sound in various enclosures.

A highend amp WILL NOT rock "semi-good" speakers better than a "low-end" amp on good quality speakers. I used to believe that, before I got some education. You're mistaking POWER for SOUND QUALITY. Many many people do it. Listening to stock speakers with more power makes them seem to sound better.

This ties into your "true 1000 watts > shitty 1000 watts" too. 1000 watts is 1000 watts no matter how you look at it. What you're basing that on is the amplifiers RATINGS. If it's a crappy amp (pyramid) and it says "1000 WATTS!!!" for like $80, then you're probably getting like 300 watts if you're lucky. But if it's like a Brax or one of the higher quality Phoenix Gold's, and it says 1000 watts, you're probably getting 1100-1200... to you this makes the PG sound wayyy better than the Pyramid. 10 years ago, different brands of amps would have made a difference because of how amps were designed back then... there were many amps that added large amounts of coloration and noise to the signal. 99% of the amps nowadays are "clean," with the only differences being the amount of power the produce, damping factor, imaging, and features.

And if you don't believe me about the "1000 watts is 1000 watts is 1000 watts" go visit Richard Clark in Wisconsin (I think...). You can take a test there (it costs $100 because there's tons of stuff that has to be set-up) and if you can pick out the crappy brand amp from the quality brand amp, he will give you $10,000. Many have tried, no one has done it yet.

    love, peace, and chicken grease.

I will be happy with one high watt 15" sub. 4 subs is just too mush weight.

watts is watts, watts by itself dont mean anything at all. IF you said the amp puts out 1000 watts RMS at 14.4v with a 2 ohm load on it then you have somthing. I think most class d amps youll find have a poor damping factor and high thd numbers but for the average user, it wont make a difference. Oh yea some class d designs make soo much electrical noise that i couldtn even listen to the radio with the amp powered on... it killed my reception. Better speakers with an ok amp is way better than ok speakers with a great amp... but enclosures make the most difference... so the greatest sub in the world could sound like crap if the box parameters are off...
