Ok I'm doing a tune-up on my '87 lx-i and I changed the plugs and wires. I wasn't aware that there was a distributor on this car... but I hear people talking about it. Is it easy to change the cap and rotor?

I like to think of my car as a sleeper. Sometimes it seems like it is sleeping.
it will take you 10 minutes at most, and this includes a 5 minute break... all you need is a screwdriver... take off the two retaining screws, take the cap off, pull the rotor off... do the reverse to put everything back...

yeah i just bought a new one today and put it right on, easy as hell. Oh and make sure to take off as much brown stuff you can, really does help.
So how much does the cap and rotor cost? and are they located at the place that all the plug wires go to?

About $10 for both. You need to know if it's tec or hitachi before you can buy those. Yeah where all the wires meet.
tell me if you notice any differnce in performance !
