I uhhh worked on my stock CAI and I have a ?

I was looking at my box at the bottom of the cold air in take at the end and I didn't see any holes in it for it 2 suck in cold air.... So I took it off and I made a hole about 4 inches by 4 I think(estimating). I put it all back together and I like the sound but I was wanting to know if it is going to hurt my car. I was thinking if it rains I can take off the pipe that comes off of the air box so I don't hydro lock the engine and I might have to replace the air filter alot more now. I have no problems with it. I notice top end take acc. is alot better.

no, althat box is really responsible for is to keep down the stock intakes noise.
