is that a b-18 or b-16? Sorry, I'm kinda a newbie when it comes to b-series. Nice, just needs a little tlc, a fresh coat of paint, and some nice Rota's to seal the deal. Good luck with it man!

Yeah I know, I wasn't saying it was stock though. I was just saying it was a b16 or a b18. I know some CRX si's had dual carbs.

I'm kinda in between on this one. I do really appreciate a nice clean looking car with a great paint job and tastefull appearance mods. However, IMO, I not only want a car to look good, but be able to get itself out of it's own way and then some. Honestly, I've always liked the little CRX-Nugget, and at it's weight with that engine, it's gotta be quick. If I had to pick one over the other, I'd pick quick-factor over bling-factor. However, the bling factor is an easy way to give the appearance of "I got $$" while anyone without air between thier head knows that doing things like engine swaps is as pricey if not more then all that sparkle.

I like to get the best of both worlds, sure you have to sacrafice a little here or there to get the desired results, but it's a happy marriage of the two. A nice rota 15" and a good coat of paint will do a ton for that little car. The bigger wheels and nice paint will attract many alone, only to be further astonished by the under-hood. The paint and Rota's will not hinder the go-factor at all, maybe even help a little.

Maybe what I said doesn't make any sense, but most of all, know that to me it's not class thing or a sleeper thing, no mean intentions in any of my words, nothing meant in any way to be directed to any members, but just IMO.

..but no, I don't think it's a POS at all. That intake manifold alone is worth $100 or more. It's easier to look at a car like that and invision yourself driving it after a nice fresh coat of paint and a set of 15's rather then looking at a pretty car and invisioning yourself buying a motor and collecting all the parts for a swap and then driving that really cool looking car after that swap.

Again, that's with the Show&Go mentality in mind.

It just needs paint. Aside from that, it looks fine. Since you got it for a pretty good price with the swap already done, you can now focus on the looks part of it and still come out with a good deal.

whoever said he wouldnt pay 100 bucks for that car is... well... i dunno... they must not know a damn thing about engines... that crx is sweet. Paint it. Give it tasteful rims... then... hmm.. theres your "show" and your speed. Way better than a riced out accord.

$100 mike??? hahaha, see, i'd take my crx over your accord anyday. the reason why? cause i'd rather see the astonished look on peoples faces in my review mirror after i waste their ass.

but enough with this dissing. i'm not saying your car doesnt look sweet, cause it does in a show factor kind of way. but you just need to give more credit where credit is due.

and once again, i'm a racer not a shower.

oh, and as for plans for the rex, yes i was gonna finish fixing the body damage put some paint on it. and i was actually gonna get some 15" rota's, hehe. after that and lowering, everything is going into the engine.

That'll be sweet with the Rota's on it. And paint. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but it looks really tall in those pics. IMHO, it should be tastefully lowered. Nothing insane, but practical and good-looking. Can't wait to see the Rex as it develops!! Good find man!!
