Ok I have an 87 Lx-i sitting around wait to go to the junk yard. I wanted to know if there was anything you guys could think of that I could swap out and put in my 86 Lx. Like certain brake parts or anything performance or apperence wise. thanks

I will do the EFI conversion here in a week. I have a 6 day weekend from school coming up here soon. I want to swap the moonroof to but I'm still unsure on $$$. What is the difference in the brakes between the Lx and Lx-i. I have pretty new pads and rotors now and don't want to change to the older ones on my Lx-i.![]()

I will have to check that out tomorrow when I have time.

all you can use for that EFI swap is the intake and exhaust manifolds. the 86-87 and 88-89 wiring harnesses are totally different.

Yea I know that. That is why I'm swaping the EFI from a 87 into a 86. I would like to get the intake manifold off a 88-89, since it is a little better then the 86-68 intake.

Don't worry about it Grant. The swap isn't the hardest thing I have done, but it depends on your definition of hard. It can be more fustrating then physicaly tough. I have the 87 Lx-i all stripped of the parts and I just need to put everything in my 86. I'm takin my time on it and it took 2 full days of work to take everything out. I had no help and just started taking off bolts screws and basically winged it. Know that I know where all the bolts and screws are out it will be much easier installing everything.

only the 88-89 LXI/SE-i front disks are larger.Originally posted by Scorpion88LX

86-87 LXI's and all 86-89 DX's and LX's share the same size of front disk brakes.
Well that sucks for me until I decide to go with the big brake conversion.
