well i found out the other night while looking at my engine, I need new gaskets. I can see where oil is coming out of the manifold, which was causing the odor I was smelling. The odor has only been there just over a month. So it's not hugely bad, yet. new one to add to my list: tranny work, new brakes, gaskets and possibly a new manifold. YEAH!!!!! i've been checking the oil and it's still at a good level, so it's not leaking terribly bad. this will be a craptacular summer. thanks for listening.

Doh, that blows man. Id sell you my brake pads i got but never used but im giving them to someone else from the board. Good luck on that

Don't feel bad, I have to replace my front crank seal (AGAIN!!!). That'll learn me what happens when you don't use proper break-in lubricant. Friction at 6500RPMs is a bitch.

I have to rebuild my tranny soon too, but look on the bright side... that gives me the PERFECT chance to do the Teg swap. My thoughts are if it's gotta come off the car for any reason, best to do all work and upgrades to it then. So my summer o' car work will give me some power and show for the jobs I'll be doing.
