Nippon-DENSO Compressor Stator Coil Replacement :

    DEFINITION:
Stator coil is a device that converts electricity and converts it to a magentic force , so it once you turn your AC on it pull the compressor clutch to the turning pulley (pressure plate ) and the compressor starts spinning and compressing the air .

    TESTING :
before attemping to get the startor coil out , which will result in getting your compressor out , unhooking the FREON lines and loosing it , you can test your clutch by finding the coil harness which will be near the raditor driver's side just above the compressor , test it with a multimeter ( car is off ) it should give a resistance of 3.2 > 3.5 ohms , other wise it needs replacement !

Another test is turn on your ignition , ask a friend to turn on AC and see if the clutch has moved ( engaged ) , if it does > everything is fine , doesn't > replace the coil .

TOOLS NEEDED ( tools needed in getting the compressor out not included ) :

    1. 12mm socket
    2. Flat Head screw driver .
    3. Clutch Removeal tool .
    4. 3 Jaws pullaer ( or use a hammer )
    5. straight Nose Circlip pilars .
    6. a cross head screw driver
    7. New Stator coil ( PART # > 38924-PH1-N01 STATOR COIL SET $50 > 60 $ )

    PROCEDURE :

    1. unbolt the 12 mm nut using a 12mm socket while holding the clutch plate ( to keep it from turning which is a very hard job )

    2. once you get the nut out get the washer out ( don't lose it !! )

    3. use a special tool to get the clutch out ( shown below ) you can do a custom one or buy one , or just got to any AC shop and ask them to get the clutch out ! ( i tried everything believe me )

    4. after you get the clutch out ( don't lose the second washer ) ( the most difficult part of the process ) get the circlip out using the straight nose circlip pilars

    5. use a 3 jaws puller and pull out the pressure plate ( pulley ) ( i used a hammer )

    PULLEY ( PRESSURE PLATE )

    6. use the same pilars again to get the circlip that holds the coil !

    7. get the coil out and unscrew it's ground wire that is attached to the casing using a screw driver !

    STATOR COIL

    AFTER REMOVAL

    8. Replace coil ( haven't figured a way to fix it yet )

    9. installation is reverse the removal

WARNING !!!! when cleaning don't use gas or any related products to clean the pressure plate ( pulley ) because it contains bearing which is oiled ( you can re-oil that again )

    Good luck !

A how to on AC trouble shooting and compressor removal will be on in a month ( when i finish my term exams )
