    performance valve springs group buy

hey guys.. just checked with another place, and if I can get 5 guys that want performance valve springs, we can have them made.

they will hold 90 lbs of pressure, and the retainers will be titianium (sp) we can use are clips - this guy used to build and race the a20 so he has everything for specs...

who wants in.. total price is goin to be $325 per set

    $325?!?!?!?!?!?!? WOW.
why would you want them. stock valve springs should be just fine with simple upgrades unless you are going with turbo setup.

That's exactly what low tek is doing though. He's getting ready for his turbo setup. And I'm getting ready for a nitrous setup so I will need high compression pistons but I won't need the valve springs.

    umm....
    KMS in GA
If I remember the 3 hr. conversation correctly, there was mention of the fact that there was no need for me to upgrade springs. However, that may be due to the fact that I'm staying n/a, but then again, maybe not.

Are you sure we're not both talking to the same company? You're sure it was KMC and not KMS? Hit me back via PM so we don't whore up your thread.

I think you've got that backwards. Your going to need stronger springs if you're increacing the red line. The stock springs seem to be good to atleast 7200rpm, well I haven't had a problem with them floating anyway. You should't need to rev a turbo motor up that high anyway so there is no real need for them.

I have mine set for a 8000 peak rev, with a turbo push, but normally, it will only go until 7200.. but I like to have that extra when i race.. the cam is custom cut

I'll have to call Delta and ask them what my rev is now. Since I've had the cam I've gone past redline twice without knowing and then I was HOLY SHI*!!! I think the said something like 6500-6800. But I could be mistaken. I told my g/f about the wiseco group buy and she said if I could get a discount I should do it even if I'm not going to install them for awhile. I'm currently almost broke b/c I'm doing my CV shafts, All brakes (performance front brakes and pads), and then OE drums and whatnot. And I guess I might need to get springs to I guess but I sure won't buy both soon so don't sign me up yet ok?

you're cam isn't going to provide the safety you need to run at a higer rpm range 7,500 - 8,000... yes it will shift the power band but you still need to balance the bottom end... also you'll need colder plugs or you'll detonate like I did... and You'll need to slow down the water pump.
