If you don't want the laptop, you may be able to find some way to remove the LCD and mount it somewhere by the dash.

hell yeah man if I could afford a laptop it would have the most badass setup.
1. a sweet flatscreen
2. can be integrated and hidden a lot easier
3. you can hook it up to an aftermarket ECU and swap fuel curves and ignition profiles on the spot so you can get like 30 mpgs driving or race on the fly, plus it would have a DVD player, some wireless internet, umm... lol keep dreaming

Very nice. The mini-itx motherboard are the way to go for space constraints and are roughly the size of two soda cans.
