B20A, стоит ли брать такой экземпляр?

My friend is selling a B20A engine (he bought it earlier in hopes to use the block for tuning a B16A and using a 2.0 VTEC head...). Right now the engine resides in his garage and I have the opportunity to buy it for about 300 bucks.
However there are several questions that I need answered.

1.) It is unknown what engine this is. I made several photos and I am hoping that you can identify the engine designation. Judging by the number, the engine is most probably the 160 hp version, however this is not certain.

    2) The engine condition is unknown. Judging by outside appearance the condition leaves a lot to be desired. It is hard to tell what happened to one of the spark plug hole - it is simply covered by a piece of newspaper. Inside the valve cover some kind of sediment is evident (photo). There is no oil pump, timing belt, and most of the tubing is missing. The electrical connections are cut.

    3) Besides the engine there is nothing. No ECU, transmission, etc. I think that I shouldn't get this engine because getting all of the components will be very tough. (Finding an engine in the past two years was not successful.)

What do you think regarding this engine? Should I forget about it and save up for a B18C5?

P.S. Special Thanks goes out to 3axap ('89AccordLX(Rus)) for extensive help with the translation of this topic.

Please pardon the usage of Russian in the title of this thread. It is a result of slight translation issue. :D

It does look like it'S the 160 HP version. The 135 hp version has a vacuum advance distributor.

The engine looks in good shape. It's only a bit dirty.

I see that some parts are missing but it's not too bad.

The pump that is missing is the water pump, not the oil pump.

You can use your intake manifold, wire harness and ECU to run this engine if you use an Integra 86-87 Distributor and crank angle sensor.

The A20A alternator can also be used but the puller width is different.

You will also need to find a flywheel and transmission.

    For 300 bucks it's a great buy

under the valve cover, all that sediment is just old engine oil. the engine hasn't been running recently or the oil was all drained. i agree with carotman, $300 is a great buy.:bh:
