you could probably go that far but Honda MTL seems to work the best as far as protection and ease of shifting I have noticed every thing is much smoother when I use it.
What he's saying is that 10w-30 will work, but Honda MTF will work better. The motor oil contains detergents and other additives that are needed in a conbustion engine, but not needed in a transmission. The MTF eliminates those additives, and uses more lubricating components instead, for better lubrication. It will shift better and create less friction inside your tranny.
Use either one, whatever you want, cuz they'll both work. We're just telling you from experience which one works better. I too would recommend the Honda MTF, but it's up to you, so use which ever one you want.
