it is not good to hit 7000-7500 rpm with A20. the stock springs may not hold up to that much stress.

7k is ok but when you start getting well into 7k regularly, youll probably eventually break a rod or float a valve and cause serious engine damage... besides there is no power there anyways with the stock cam

I think you can only hit 7 grand with a carb.

If you have a fuel injected Accord your out of luck cause the ecu cuts fuel off at 6500 rpm.

lol damnit.. im EFI i have hit 7k before
well atleast the needle jumped from 6,500rpm to 7k
i freaked out and engaged the clutch and drove it home like a baby.
    i got so scurred...
ya ya i know i dont make power up there but it was against another 3g.. both manual
and the fucker kept going up.. so i was like ok.. he wants to play this game
    lol
neck and neck as we both climbed passed 6k in 3rd gear after it tapped 7k
i just shifted to 4th and cruised
but it took it like a champ
i gave it new spark plugs and oil change for my mistake..
hope that makes up for it .. even just a lil.. lol

I can hit 7k in my Lx... I have a rebuilt tranny, carb and engine though. I wouldnt recomend it to people with a mostly stock car... especially if the tranny and engine havent been touched in 14+ years. I'm just waiting to get my mild tri-flow cam regrind and I'll be able to make use of the high revs.
