    Question Engine

I have a 1986 Accord LX that has an obvious crate engine swap. My Question is how can I find out what engine it is and how I can eliminate the problems I have on getting engine parts for it. I am having a very hard time even finding the correct Rotor cap for it. All the parts stores I have been to have caps but none fit my car.

    Help Please!

    Techno

Ha Ha, I now know that the stock engine is the A20A1 but...
Like I said Guys, each Cap that I get from the parts store has a flat spot on it. My rotor is completely round. I am having problems finding the right Cap.

Hitachi distributor is round and Tech distributor has flat on one side.
I am sure you have hitachi distributor. Most carb enignes got hitachi distributor.

Thank you for your help shepherd79. I went back out to the parts store and told them that even though I have Tech wiring the Distributer is Hitachi. They found the cap for me within 5 minutes. I got my part at Napa. I think I will go back to them again as they seem to have a better selection anyway. Only problem is the closest Napa to my house is quite a distance away
