the best way to get the stains out is to pull the carpet out and use a pressure washer on it then use a carpet cleaner to suck up some of the water then let it air dry before you put it back in than just give it a good vacume to fluff the carpet back up. Did it a few times on some other cars works best if you ask me

The pressure washer might be a little too much for carpet, especially old carpet. Is there a difference between the sedan, coupe, h.b. If there is a difference. Are you swaping the carpet out of the same body style.

The U car wash place pressure washer would probably work just great.

Whoa, I would have thought the pressure would rip apart carpet. Especially older carpet that might be in bad shape.

If you get it too close you're right, but far away just to blow all the sand out of there isn't going to do a whole lot.

I was using a 2500 psi pressure washer on my carpet and you dont have to get really close but if there is a stain in it get right on top of it and go tp town I have never seen it rip apart carpet even old stuff. Use a degreaser on the entire thing before you start to loosen up the bad stuff the rest schould come out with out any problems.

Well what do you know I guess it is safe, but I still wouldn't do it. I just keep my carpet clean in the first place.

Well I'm planning on using an all purpose cleaner and try to scrub the stains out of it and see if that works, if not then I'm going to try the pressure washing techniq, but hey if it works I'll let you all know how it turned out...... oh Justin86... Yeah the carpet6s are both from the sedan's the one I'm swapping it to is an 86 LX and the carpet I got it from was my crashed up 89 LX-i so they should fit just fine... hopefully...LOL But I think there shouldn't be a problem... I'm just hoping I can get some stains out... there isn't alot of stains, I just want it to look good again...I'll let you guy's know how it turns out... I'm going to start doing the cleaning process tomorrow (Monday) because I'm graduating today so I have no time what so ever to do it, but I can't wait to start it... Lataz and thanks to all for the support.

no A Dawg Jr.... I also swapped carpets to match the interior because I did an interior swap from my 89 LX-i to my 86LX.... I switched door panels, carpets, back seats, changed the dash etc... I like the black and tan interior so I desided to swap it over to the 86LX because my 89 LX-i was crashed last summer so I used various parts to use on my 86LX and the interior swap was one of the things I did.... cool huh... Ima have to take some pics sometime 4 u 2 see..... Lataz bro
