    TekknoTekk, yes and no.

    Same car different engine. The first photo with the black valve cover is my original engine when it had like 190,000 miles on it. I had to replace it at 208,000 miles because after installing the weber carburetor, the head gasket went. The motor with the beige valve cover is from came from an 86 DX with only 78,000 miles on it. When I swapped that motor I left out the the A/C and Powersteering that came with the original motor.

    Sorry for all the pictures but I wanted to give people the full 180 degree appearance of the engine bay.

    Thanks everybody, I am glad the work I've done is to your liking...Still got more to do and I am looking for all the advice I need to do it

    I've noticed you get strange looks from people when you take pictures of your engine, oh well...I guess THAT is strange behavior

    umm.. was the weber the cause of your head gasket blowing?

    do you notice a performance gain much? Was it worth it? I'm soooo close to installing a weber for me, but ..... I just can't seem to make a solid decision as to wether its worth it....
    it gets cold up here, I hear webers have issues in the cold (cold like -20celsius), I have emissions in this city and I hear it has probs emissioning too, and or course... will it damage my stock motor...... or do I changover to EFI, but its such a huge job.. does the end justify the means to change to EFI..... decisions decisions, or do I just say f*ck it and put the money towards making the car look good but go slow..... ahh well, had to get that off my chest...!!
    BTW, it look DAMN GOOD! WOW!!! Great job!

    Superaccord, that is a pacesetter header in there.

    Coaster, I dunno if the weber was the cause of my blown head gasket, for all I know it just decided to go, unfortunately it went just after I installed the weber, but the motor did have a lot of miles on it, so it is anyone's guess.
    As for emissions, I have removed all that stuff, so when it comes time to go to the DMV, I dunno I'll think of something. Any ideas anyone?

    Is it worth it power wise? That is a definite yes. I get wide open throttle I believe somewhere around 3500-4000 rpm and its like the car has another personality, really. The aftermarket carb definitely makes my car quicker than stock.

    If you are worried about emissions maybe the EFI conversion is another option since you get more power and still can pass emissions.
    I just like how the weber performs and how it makes the engine bay look a lot less complex.

    everytime I see a weber I want it, but I want a newer accord. The reason I want a newer accord is because I have rust in about 5 spots on my car, the biggest being below the right tail light. I need help guys. Newer accord, or spend the money to fix this one.

    I say spend the money on this one, but again I don't know your financial situation, but I find it worth it to work on these cars.

    How new are you talking about anyway? 4th Gen, 5th Gen or 6th Gen?

    I don't like the 4th Gens as much as I used to, the 6th Gens have kinda grown on me.

    a 6th of course, a 98 ex sedan to be exact. my mom works for honda of america and she says she can talk to some guys who fix like defective ones or something and work something out. I hope she can.
