I have heard an avg. head gasket job would be about $300-500.

if it isnt smoking like a mofo or seriously overheating and using antifreeze, and if it runs normally id say get another opinion, usually when the head gaskets go in these cars they go bigtime

grey smoke = piston rings. your engine needs to be rebuild.

wait a tick.... leaking oil = head gasget right? [leaking a lil right from the head area--right on the exhaust manny for me]

i thought it was just a 30 seal you bought at Auto zone and could do yourself [with the effort of taking your head off]

actually....its not anything to do with the head...we found the problem today..my upper power steering hose is leaking power steering fluid onto everything and my fans are splashing up everywhere...this is getting on the exhaust manifold and creating the smoke i see..its white smoke actually ..so i am presently looking for a replacement on here...if anyone has one to sell i will buy it...upper power steering hose..black high pressure hose fiber/foam insulated hose connected to the power steering pump in the front of the engine bay...need to get one soon i dont want my power steering dying on me
