lol... thanks man.. I think your 17's look awesome, and most 17's do on our cars, but the roads suck here, and I will most likely be able to do auto X with 16's better than with 17's because my suspension is stock. Only tokico blues.

i have 17's and it looks real good i mean it's your car but go with the 17's.
"smoke em"
Still thinkin on it. But right now, I am stuck on 16's. Yes 17's may look better, but once I have my kit, I can always upgrade (i have decided to go show, and then go) but for right now, I want a happy medium. And I will consider lowering in the spring, or next summer, with the nuespeed springs, for 1.5" drop, and revalved bilstiens./

I have 16's and I'm going to put some similar-looking 17's on it, I'll take some before and after pics for you but I personally think that the 16's are a bit too small and especially if you have a body kit

Ya, I plan to have a kit as well. I just really want to know how 17's ride????? someone answer please.
And will I be good with the neuspeed 1.5" drop, and revalved bilsteins??

I dunno, a whole 1' of sidewall height, isn't something I'd ever do, that would be my take on ride quality. And I don't mind stiff setups, I just don't think that's enough sidewall, that's all. As far as the springs and struts. As the only one that's had that setup, they kicked ass, excellent, excellent choice. (H&R's and neuspeeds are the same).Originally posted by Hash_man_Se_i

Thanks. And i didnt realize it was only 1", thats really really small. I think I will just get some 16's, most likely I can get them for around $100 a piece. CDN! ... and about 400 for tires, that is about what I was thinking of spending.

I'm not retarded, I know that. I just wanted to know the difference in how they look, and in how they ride, and handle.the difference is an inch

Just to explain. I am talking about the perception you get when you standing in a tire shop and you gaze at a 205/40-17 tire and then a 205/45-16 tire, both un mounted. Their's like no sidewall height on the 17's. That's where I'm coming from. Go to a shop and have them show you some 205/40-17's and judge for yourself. I was really surprised myself.Originally posted by Hash_man_Se_i

Well I was refering to a prior sale held by my tires, and they were ADR's mostly. You can still get some for that cheap.Where in Canada can you get 16s for $100 bucks CDN? and what are these $100 rims called?

I think I have found rims though. 16" ADR GT's in white. With 204/40/16 tires. Good shape and minor road rash for 800CDN. New they are at least 250 per rim, without rubber.

Hash, honestly, if you want to auto-x ur 3G, and only have Toki-blues on, then I would not worry about the wheels you decide to choose.
Reason being: If your auto-x club follows SCCA rules, or is SCCA sanctioned, then I would stick with the stock wheels. If it's SCCA, and the club is strick to those rules, then in order to run in the stock class, you can only have aftermarket struts/shocks, with OEM springs. Along with that, you also need to run on the stock wheels. There's no regulations on the tires size, but the wheels have to be OEM as well. Now, I might have read this thread too fast, so if so, with aftermarket springs as well, you'll be bumped out of the stock class. Just some food for thought.
As for the consideration of 17 or 16, personally, I like show, but the go to back it up. I can't tell you "don't get 17's" b/c I actually have a set of 17's, 16's and 2 sets of 15's. Anyway, I would honestly go with the 16's. This way you'll still get that "low pro" look, but you'll have some "meat" between your rim and the road. It's more comfortable, less beatin up on your (and your car's) joints, and less expensive. Plus with shitty roads, the 16's will be much less likely to fall victim to a pot-hole.
16's are much much better for auto-x as well, as long as you plan on using your stock street tires on the 16's.

/\ Thanks for the advice. I am not sure about the autoX stuff, but as far as I know, here you can run in the stock class with aftermarket rims.
But I will probably be picking up my ADR Gt sport rims on friday, I can't wait. They have 205/40/16 tires on them right now, but after our long winter, I will put some 205/45/16's on them.
I will post pics as soon as possible.

Haha, don;t go 18's... I think thats just nuts on our cars, but ya pics of ur ride with the 17's would be cool. For now I am going to get these ADR GT sports in 16" and they are white. They are used and right in my price range. $800CDN. And new they sell for at least $1600. (both those prices are with rubber)
I can;'t wait to get them, and will post pics as soon as I do.
