you can adapt most alternators if you're willing to mess around with mounting brackets and wiring

most honda alternators are very close in their electrical specs and wiring, but the brackets and the alt cases are always different. If you wanted to i supposed you could make a newer alt fit but why would you want to...

because my new system is gonna be about 5 times better than the one i have now and my lights already dim with every 'thump'. i might to go the junkyard and see if i can get a civic alternator to fit and if i can then i will buy an upgraded alternator for a civic off the internet.

just get a rewound accord alt. I had mine rewound to 140 amps and it put out great power, it powered my 1250wrms system with very little dimming with no caps. Oh yea and it only cost like $140

you see i was going to look at rewinding it but that causes the alternator to work hard which causes it to heat up more which causes it to want to break more. also i live in texas so the heat is already in the 100's during the summer. we already hit 105 one day last month. but i will still look into rewinding.
