noisey injectors????

i sometimes find that my injectors are noisey, ticking noises. My car runs fine; no misses no hesitation or anything; no 1 is louder than the other, they just seem noisey. My moms 98 with the 3.0 is whisper quite. is that just because comparably our engine is a dinosaur.

I always thought that my valves are loose and they're the ones ticking away so loud. After all there's air circulating through the valve cover all the time so it's like a natural amplifier. Is it the injectors or the valves? Anyone tighten their valves and make it quieter?

Mine sounds like a grandfather clock chick-chick-chick-chick...

Its just the injectors dont worry bout it, mine are the same.

It is actually BOTH and NORMAL. If you rockers/valves were silent that would mean that they are too tight and you could burn valves.

they can be loud, thats ok, its just when they leak or make the engine run bad that they need to be serviced

if you are still wondering about your injectors being loud:

if you are up to it, one i would buy some injector cleaner

(chevron techron probably the best)

and then after you have run that through the system buy new o-rings for all your injectors (runs about $35), if you o rings are getting old, even if they arent leaking they might be causing excess noise
