Looks nice. Get that rust and bumper taken care of and you'll have yourself a nice looking tail.

Ok I used the Krylon acrylic clearcoat like in the how to... but it doesn't leave a shiny finish at all, and it seems to scratch off easily. Does anybody have any recommendations for a better type to use?

Ok how can I fix my bumper? I have some screws holding it in now... anybody had it fall off and had to put it on before? Oh yea what about the rust?

i also have a hatch and chose to paint the tails and mine are perfect. It took alot of time to tape off the right places and to get it to shine, i got mine shiny by polishing it with wet sand paper removing all the small bumps till its PERFECTLY smooth then polished it with rubbing compound ,looks stock shiny
