ok for a couple of months my PGM FI light was comin on so i finnaly found the comp window under the seat..(it was behind it not infront lol)...anyways it gave me a 12 on the code which isthe one for the EGR....so i went to the junkyard and picked up a workin one for like 30 bucks.(lost the reciept)..anyways..and i had a mech change it...well he broke the old one off cuzz there was a bastard bolt that wouldnt come off and i had to put wd 40 on it for like 3 days..so anyways he broke that one off to get some workin space and put the newer used EGR on there...ok...car is runin good ....and while i was drving hte PGM FI light comes on again..i check the code...its a 12 again........i was depressed and pissed cuzz i thought my problem was over and the light came on again...my questions is that how imp is the EGR sensor..cuzz the car is runnin fine and dont seem to be loosin any power and stuff cuzz i am not about to get a new one for 170 bucks....and is there anyway to check if my ECU is messin up or somethin..pls help me out...

When a code 12 comes up, besides the egr valve itself, problems sometimes are caused by a clogged air chamber. If the the egr dosen't open fully, quick rnough,=code 12!
