    Factory Honda Turbo Engine

I think I've posted about this before, but I'm too lazy to go dig it up.

It's about that Honda Aquatrax F12X personal watercraft that Honda released last year. 1.2L DOHC with an Intercooled Turbocharger; makes 160HP. No VTEC (no point in a direct drive transmission). You can read more about it here.

I'm planning on visiting the dealership soon to see what kind of turbine this thing uses. Hopefully it's made by Honda, because who wouldn't want a Honda genuine turbo in their car.

I wonder why Honda never produced turbo engines after this time frame that they did offer them. The only thing i could think of is reliability and they wanted to keep their reputation where it was and still is today.

ey, damnit. thats my engine. its out of a jdm honda city either gen 1 o2. ive got it in my 78 ciciv 1200. The block was a bolt on and the exhaust took about an hpur to redo with a sreamer pipe rather than a wastegate. iamloking for a few other parts but the civic is hells fast and pbablyruns low tomid 14's. I havent had it teed and tuned since i am still working on parts. Its cool to have a newer car pull up and watch m bolt like a bat outta hell.

How much boost does the 'City' run stock? I remember that engine too, but I didn't think much of it since it only made ~ 100 hp. Each motor has similarities though.

    F12X City

    Bore(mm): 79 66
    Stroke(mm): 63 90
    Displacement(cc): 1235 1231
    Compression: 8.5:1 7.6:1
    Turbo Boost (psi): 13 ???

about 12 psi in a 1237 cc 4 cylinder. The head incorporates the cvcc head design. Honda had race perepped city back in the day with a 22 psi turbo and 9 in wide front tires. My civic weights about 500 lbs less then the city so it goes good for know but hopefully better. If yo have any more questions check out cityturbo.com. Its a great dite with tons of info. Thats how I found mine
