    Sleeper

I am looking to build a sleeper. A vehical that appears stocks but hides the good stuff. what mods do you all think would be best to put on or in a 93 accord? Im trying to keep under a 5g bugdet for all mods. thanks to this sight most can probably be done myself. ive thought of cold air, headers, exhaust and cam. any other ideas would be great!

Trade it for my car? Mine's really a sleeper - a slow ass mofo...

With 5 grand to invest in a 93 Accord, I'd say get the H22.

the only way you get a sleeper if you get H22 engine or turbo for the engine you have in there right now.

I gotta laugh at the above quote, I hated my 4th gen. Thank god I sold it. But hey, not everyone it bugged by the things that bugged me so it's cool.

Here's my shopping list for a $5k 4th gen project.

    1. $1850 H22a compleate swap
    2. $800 to install the above at a shop
    3. $1000 for 17" light weight rims and tires if you don't have now
    4. $850 Quaife limited slip
    5. $250 estimated shop fee to install Quaife LSD
    This puts you at $4750

6* KYB AGX struts to take care of the sickening soft stock struts, but that'll take you a smidge over your budget, see below for a better suspension choice.

If you allready have rims and tires that you want to keep, take the $1000 I alloted for rims and tires and use it to buy this.

    1. Koni sport sturts $560
    2. Ground-Control Coilovers $340
H&R springs revalved Bilstein front struts, koni struts in the rear 195/55-15 Dunlop W-10's Dc Sports header custom cat-back with Dynomax super turbo w/3" Brembo slotted & dimpled rotor's EBC pads
Well, that's what I used to have, wrecked, 7/3/02.

    Now I d

Bytch slapped?!? I could easily tell you how to spend 5g on just 3 parts for a 4x4 truck, but this is Honda stuff, of which I am not as familiar with. Hence why I asked.
What exactly is a h22a. I take it, it is an engine. But from what and where does one get one? And where do I look to get these parts. Is there a good honda parts catalog or something from which to order from, or a good part store that will hook me up?
Thanks jims for that info you gave that was what im looking for!

Yes the H22a is a engine. It has allot more power than the F22 that your car has now and a closer ratio gear box to boot. The H22a has 190hp to 200hp and allot stronger power band as well.
Doing the swap will transform you car from a 10sec to 60mph car to a 7sec to 60 time. And their's a ton of go faster parts for the motor, vs next to nothing for your stock powerplant. As swaps go, it's one of the easiest in the business. It's a direct drop in, nothing fancy or complicated.

Ok, here's the website to go to and purchase the complete swap, price went up a bit $1900

    www.osakajdmmotors.com/honda/h22a/index.html

    Here's what you get.

    Motor
    Transmission
    Engine Wiring Harness
    All required Cables
    ECU
    Distributor
    Complete Intake Manifold
    Alternator
    A/C
    Power Steering Pump
    All Brackets and Sensors
    Shiftlinkage ($75 extra)

I thought a sleeper was a car that did not make any real power untill the higher RPMs. You know, you have a little power but once you get past 3000 or so rpms the car finds its balls and your off. Shows how much I know. Does anyone have a link to an online dictionary of street racing terms like that I could have to help prevent myself from sounding like an idiot in the futrue?

All questions about sleepers should be directed to WickedAccord or OldSchoolSwap, methinks.

Only thing I could tell you is that the H22 is a Prelude motor. I think it could be founded in 92 up Preludes. Some please specify for me.
