Brake Light

Ok you know that little diagram of our cars that shows where our doors are open etc? yeah well the one in the back thats supposed to say when the brake light is burnt keeps coming on and off for me, i replaced the bulb twice, but it still does it, any ideas?

my uncle's 4g accord did have the problem and so did my dad's 90 camry. the problem on the 90 camry was that, if the blub was put in one way (a new bulb i mean) the brake light comes on, if it was put in the other way, it wont

try it, try reversing the bulb and see what it does. My mechanic thought there might be a shot on my uncles 4g accord, but it was not cause now its not there anymore.
