    Post Another Fast Blinker Solution

ive been reading yalls posts about the fast blinkers and have other people and friends asking how to do this. most people say cut the wires, then splice them to all signals have a light. well, this is a good way, but heres an easier one. ive been experimenting with different bulbs i had. i tried my brake light bulb with the 2 filaments. it worked in makeing them blink faster. its the thing with resistance. what i did was put the bulb in so the dim fliament was lit. u have to make shur its put in a certain way. i just had to turn the blub over when i didnt work. so now, i have fast blinkers. but then only thing im wondering is, are they legal? would they be considered impersinating a cop?

ive been useing my blinkers for a long time now and i havent been pulled over. in fact a cop was sitting in a parking lot right across from me and did stop me or anything. this gives them an excuse to stop you and search your car cuz they can say they thought your bulb was burnt out but thats about it.

wow, it seems like ive had fast blinkers for a long time. its realy only been about 4 days. anyway, i havent had any problems. in fact, i took my car for the inspection sticker and they said those are perfectly legal. and so is my single wiper. it passed perfectly. so its all good.

as long as they blink they are legal. the cool thing is though with my adjustable blinkers, i can make them blink so fast that they stay on continuously. looks tight cuz i have fog lights so if i turn on all my lights it looks cool. man i need sleep.

How much horsepower do you get out of making your turn signals faster? LOL.

Thats a sweet idea to make them adjustable! Did you just trace the wire from the wire from the steering column at splice in a pot?

I've also thought about just splicing in a small resistor inline the signal wire, or finding a replacement signal blinker thingy with a lower capacity. As far as i can tell, isnt the thing that makes the signal blink just a capacitor that stores and releases voltage to the circuit? Theoretically if it was a smaller capacity, it would store/release at a faster rate right? or am i just smoking crack again...........

yes NX you are very close. its just a series of resistors that supply voltage. all you do it replace one of the fuses with the pot and your done.

What kind of pot did you use? Do you have to use a certain size or will any do? I'm thinking about putting one in a plate in my dashboard, but i'm gonna want one thats pretty small. Also, if you replace the fuze, that brings up the possability that something may fry because there is no fuze, right?

nothing will fry. all a potientiometer is, is an adjustable fuse so nothing will get burned. be sure you use a 100K linear pot. they are alot larger than a 10K but 10Ks dont give you enough resistance and you wont be able to turn the speed down at all.

bitch, i just got my 3gee, the previous owner bought those wheels, they're brand new. i aint buying new wheels if i have new wheels. a 3gee is to boxy to have that body kit and what tops it off is that your body kit is a different color. AND you changed your image on the left, hahaha.
