its an excelent muffler... if you can afford it.. go for it.. but what would offer better performacne gains is a set of headers from pacesetter and a universal bomb muffler from EBAY... and then get a 2.25 inch cat back custom made at the local muffler shop

Yeah, i definitely wouldnt spend the money on an APEXI. I got a very nice muffler off of ebay, I'll take some pictures as soon as I can.. I just ordered a digital camera, and the muffler isnt on the car yet, because my hi-flow cat hasnt come in yet. I only paid like $60 shipped for it.. Let me try to find a pic from the auction..

1988 Accord LXI: Catco Hi-flo cat, 2.25" Stainless piping, stainless n1-style muffler, SR intake, NGK plugs and wires.

it wont be that same loudness and performance that apexi delivers but that will do if you get a custom exhaust to go with it

Just remember to strip the black paint off the headers and put on a high temp ceramic paint.

I have the Apexi N1 and kicks ass!!! If you get the turbo model the inlet is like 2.5 instead of 2.25 like the other models!!! So, you hafta rin like 2.25 back and than go to 2.5 by the rear wheel or just run 2.5 all the way from the CAT!!! The Apexi will cost about 180 or so!!! Some on ebay that are 50 bucks arnt apexi!!!

personally.. i wouldn't run anything larger then 2.25..if you go bigger then that.. you will loose back pressure..and in result, you will notice a loss rather then a gain...

Don't go over 2.25" or you'll lose power.

In regard to the muffler, I've heard Apexi is good stuff, if you can afford it. Same thing with DC headers. I pretty much live with the idea that you get what you pay for, so just be careful

BUt if you want the muffler you wont lose horse just running from behind the rear wheel!!! If anythin it will increase flow to help on top endd whcih the a20 lacks!!! Im running 16.3- so i reall dont think that exhaust is hurting it!!!!
