taillights out...

Hey guys. So the other night im backing into a spot and in the window behind me, i see i have no breaklights on the driver side. I think, "This is odd", because that damn dash light didnt go on. I replaced the bulbs but nothing still. (Its the light in the trunklid and the one in the main trunk both on the driver side). When i turn on the parking lights though, both bulbs light up. Just nothing when I hit the brake from either bulb on the driver side. Right and center stop light up fine. Any ideas?

You probably installed the incorrect amperage bulbs. But still, if that should happen, the little light indicator on the dash with the little car should come on. Maybe that's not working?
