    4th gear doesnt work

    i have a auto trans with 150k miles on it....im having a problem where when im going about 50mph D4 just slips into nuetral.....but if you slam the gas it will rev to 7000rpm then catch back into 3rd gear... D3 has no problems but mah car tops out at 95mph redlineing in 3rd....and suggestions....PLEASE

    You could try having the fluid flushed, but unfortunately it sounds like your tranny is on its merry way to death. I lost 4th on my accord's tranny about 7-8 months ago and there's not much I can do. Tranny work at a shop will cost you more than your car is worth so you might want to either change to a 5-speed or find another auto tranny at a junkyard or something.

    yeah, now you've got an excuse to swap a 5 speed in there.

    well you have to get some things installed that are not in your car, like a clutch cable i think, the transmission itself, the gear selector thing, the dashboard from a 5 speed car, the stick shift console, quite a few things, so you may just want to buy another 3g with a manual if you like.
