    Alpine Speakers

Does anybody know if the Alpine SPS-1629S and the SPS-6939S speakers will fit into the stock housings or if they will need to be modified? Thanks.

Here are the links to them if that helps:

Just about any 6x9 (as long as the spacer around the perimeter does not stick up much above the metal frame will fit. I have Clarion's in my stock housings front and back. For the front, about anything 5.25" to 6.5" will fit, but at the larger end modifications might be required. The stock front speakers in mine were 5.5".

i have infinity 6.5" in my front and rear housings and in the front i had to cut out the back of the housing because the speakers were to deep. also i only have one screw holding the cover on because they push out further.

If they are close fit just get them. If the speakers kick ass it is worth doing some cutting here and there to make them fit.
