trunk dimensions

hey guys got a question for you anybody know the trunk dimensions of a 87 lx, sedan 4dr. Freind is building an enclosure and wants to know if his design will fit in his car, thanks in advance, James

If you leave about a 1/4 to 1/2 in gap around the trunk of the car so that the box sits on the floor and not the plastic trim sections and the box is going tight up against the back seat. Assuming he only wants semi-straight cuts meaning he doesnt want to notch for the seat release lever in the back then use16.5 inches tall by 33 inches wide. If you form a triangle for the back seat fso the box contours the shape/slant of the back seat you would have a triangle that is roughly 6 inches on the bottom, 16.5 inches high and obviously a point at the top of the seat. Kinda hard to understand but read it slowly a few times and keep an open mind.

We figured it out hes doing a 1.6 cubic ft ported enclosure thatll sit up against the back of the seat and is about 13high, 23long, and 12deep. we measured and thatll fit so yeah itll work thanks anyways guys, later, james
