how many decades ago was that?
i have lived here all my life and i have seen the same e-test over and over.....
as long as you have all your smog stuff hooked up and it passes the smog test(co)then you pass.
besides they track you'r rpm from the coil wire while they track you'r levels.
    "hood goes up!"

i have a cat and muffler.

hahah yeah i hope so, as long as im boosted by next year at this time ill be satisfied... im gonna be stressed to the max until july, cause i am in my last 2 quarters of school, and then im getting married a couple months after i graduate... so i dont think i will have time to focus on the project until after that settles down... that being said, i will probably have all the parts, just not the time to install and finess the setup!

i sure hope so.... i think its going to come down to us all breaking trannies and axles. that sure would be fun....

although, our track is reknown for having SHIT for prep, and nobody can get traction there... once i have power it will probably be interesting .... from what i hear, fast turbo fwd cars can run up to a second faster at the next closest track (like an hour away instead of 15 minutes) i cant wait to deal with wheelspin in 3rd gear lol... right now with my dying motor i cant chirp 2nd!

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

word, i swear my track is a slow track too, maybe not as bad as LACR etc... but still iffy. Modded Vipers run 12.1, most rustangs/camaros run 14s/15s, that m3 was besting 13.8 and he had an air intake (i was still faster) i think that evo 8 was running 13.7-13.8 ish... srt-4s seem to run 14.4-14.6... IDK what thats about... maybe i should look at elevation or somthing. This is the only 1/4 mi track close to me and its still 70 miles away....

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

yeah we have stis and evos all running 13s.. its pathetic. i have seen 1 sti in the 12s, and thats it. allll the rest run 13s or 14's its sad because none of the lame awd guys have the balls to launch, and they get ripped up by fwd with slicks heheh

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

if the dsm guys are fast and actually launch it, they eventually break anyway. I swear to god that the cars ive seen the most money dumped into, yet, seem to not get much faster, seem to be regular wrx's. Like, one guy had 8k into his engine etc and he was running 13.6... i think he was launching it too.

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

STOCK INJECTORS OMG. Dude im running 450cc injectors and a walbro fuel pump, there is no way the 240ccs is gonna support any kind of REAL power. Upgrade before you blow it... Holy 60 ft is that with the rearend raised and everything? Thats a fucking sick 60ft if thats real. That is a slow mph on 12psi though, on 10psi with the car running like shit i was still pulling 94-95... on 13 it was 105

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

    ooh ya it's real....
i am still waiting for tax money. but yea 550 or 1000cc injectors, neptune, the skunk2 pro seiries manny,70mm tb and my t3to4e 62-1 are all going in next.
if there is enough left built head.
I was still spinning the tire's at 18 psi so i droped them down to 12psi and improved traction. I also did some crazy 2nd gear burnout's.
I am also running 2 255lph fuel pumps. 1in the front and 1 in tank...

    2 step @3000rpm
    205/14/50 drag radials at 12psi.
coilovers raised rear, with left rear higher than right rear.
washers on passenger side front sway bar
and a long 2nd gear burnout..

my fuel pressure at idle was at 43psi and under full boost 64 psi.
edit: i was full rich under full boost.

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

hell yea that will be sick.washers work real well.
when i get alittle more power i'll start messing with caster camber toe in & out.
edit: you'r right on the mph it's a little low, I have a suspission that the clutch was slipping in 3rd gear.
but the funny thing is that i ran out of gear in 4th just passed the 1000' mark...
I may have to goto 15" rims and larger diameter tires...

the other thing my friend and i noticed was the trap speed on the time sheet and what our speedos said were consideribly different.
i read 110-114mph and the time slip said 92.37?

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

hmm tough to say. I was into 4th running thru the traps as well... the 22x8s bring the nose of my car down about an inch because they are smaller than the 195/60/14s and since they are smaller since im running thru 4th anyway, the smaller tires are gonna make me have a smaller final drive so im gonna be spending more time in 4th... but the acceleration should be better if i can hook up

Re: King of the Track - 1/4 mile times!

with smaller tire's you gain more torque and better 60' times but on the top end it hurts you alittle.
    what do you launch at?
