Tap or rattle

It only does it at 3500 rpms or lower with 1/4 or more throttle.

If you give it gas in a low gearr without high r's, there is this rattle from under the hood, it doesnt do it when im still, only when the car is in motion. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be, it's always done it, but it's gotten worse since i changed the timing belt. Could it be valves that are loose, cause i havent checked those since i got the car, and ive got 300, 429 miles on it.

Some insight would help, especially if your car has or is doing it too.

My engine taps a little bit around that point, but could it be pinging from dogging it in a low gear with not enought rpm's?
